Not sure if you read this, but I’m a teacher in St. Louis, Missouri and am currently working on my thesis project to complete a Master’s degree in English. My topic? The Catcher in the Rye of course! I stumbled upon your site while doing some research.
It’s funny to me, in a way, that I found your work being disseminated while in the middle of my own obsession with Salinger. I just finished reading Paul Alexander’s biography on Salinger, which I saw sitting on the dashboard of your car in one of the segments. In the book, he talks about how Salinger successfully blocked the publishing of Ian Hamilton’s biography. I wondered, then, how/why Alexander was allowed to publish this one? Does anyone know?
Anyway, I’m looking forward to watching the remaining four episodes from your film.
lol@ “Like burning money?” Lookin’ forward to next week’s installment!

Good question. Especially since Alexander’s bio provides directions to Salinger’s house.
